A story about Brian Clarke and Making Shore made the Lancashire and the England Features section of the BBC website yesterday, under the headline Lytham war survivor inspires award-winning novel. The story explains how Brian's true wartime survival story inspired author Sara Allerton to pen the prize-winning novel. In response to the publicity, the ebook climbed the Kindle charts to #32 in Literary Fiction.
