The first copies of Handbook of Scotland's Trees are now in the office, and will soon be making their way to the shops. Reforesting Scotland's editors have served up a feast of silviculture, tree lore, uses of the wood for each species, and more in their concise but comprehensive guide to trees commonly found in Scotland – mostly native species but also introduced ones like the popular monkey puzzle. Roddy Fairley of Scottish Natural Heritage says that it's "the book I've always wanted" – and went on to comment: "Whether you want to re-establish a woodland or simply plant a tree in your garden, this book inspires. It is a delight."
