Founded in the early 1990s, Saraband publishes high-quality, illustrated non-fiction books and creates titles for publishers worldwide. Our books are sought for their attractive design, beautiful art and photography, fine writing, editorial excellence and impeccable production. 2010 marks our entry into the realm of fiction, too, with publication of the acclaimed debut novel Making Shore.

We create titles on a wide variety of subjects, including art, architecture, history, heritage, mythology, dreams, symbols, nature and the environment. The inspiration for our books derives from our passion for these subjects. We draw on the heritage and landscape of our location — until 2000 on the Long Island Sound, and since then, in Glasgow, Scotland's creative hub, a creative and vibrant city steeped in history and culture.
